North Conway/White Mountains Weekend Trip!

Rob, Matthew & I went on a mini vacation for a few days this weekend. We drove up to the White Mountains and stayed in North Conway, New Hampshire. I knew that New Hampshire was a beautiful "green" state, but I had no idea how beautiful the White Mountains are. We went right before all the "leaf peepers" (as the locals call them) arrive. Peak foliage season is quickly approaching us, and believe me, you have never seen such beautiful places as we have here in NH!

Anyway, we ended up shopping (of course!) and hiking. Yes, believe it or not, I do like to hike. (I've already had comments made.) Haha! I just don't camp. My idea of camping is staying in a nice hotel. Sorry, I do enjoy modern comforts like electricity, running water and sitting on a toilet seat. We stayed in a beautiful hotel that had an indoor water park. We played with Matthew in the kiddie pool, and I took him down the baby slides. He loved the water! It was only slightly over a foot of water so he ran around. Rob & I took turns on the large slides, and we felt like kids again. We had a great trip, though it was too short. I truly felt like a child again. My parents always took Molly and I on trips and we have been to just about every state, so I want to make sure that Matthew has the same experiences.

Here are some pictures from our trip...
