Matthew Is A Mess!

Every day with Matthew just keeps getting more & more enjoyable. He is just about 15 1/2 months old and has such a personality! Robert and I have never laughed so hard in our lives. Matthew is so funny and so full of energy. I now know what it means when people refer to their son as "all boy."

I have added a few recent photos of Matthew. The first picture is Matthew eating in his high chair. Well, I should say attempting to eat. Let's put it this way, Matthew is different from most babies. All my friends/family's children get excited when they see food. This is not the case with Matthew. He would rather be running around playing. Maybe that's why he's skinny.... Anyway, he has invented the best diet. He likes to suck the flavor out of his food and then spit it out. (Hmmm... maybe I should patent this.) I know, it's gross. We're going to keep trying though. Robert and I like to eat, so maybe Matthew will one day...

Matthew also has really started to enjoy us reading to him. He also likes to "read" on his own. I captured a picture of him below when he was "reading" a sale paper. Robert & I laugh because he always looks so serious when he reads and sometimes babbles away like he is trying to read out loud.

Matthew is finally big enough for Daddy to give him piggy back rides and rides on his shoulders. Matthew just smiles & laughs. It just melts my heart to see them together! Check out the picture below of Matthew on Daddy's shoulders.

Also, Matthew & I started swim class on Mondays with a few of our friends. I will try to get some pictures next Monday. Matthew absolutely loved it, and he did so well. He kicked & splashed, floated on his back (with my help, of course) and even went under water. It is such an awesome program and so worth the money & drive! So, look for an update soon.

If you look closely you can see the chewed up bits of apple on his bib. What a mess!

Matthew loves to read books, and in this case, a sale paper! I wonder what is going on in that little mind of his...

Matthew loves to ride on Daddy's shoulders! My little baby is a big boy now!

Yes, he is all boy... He climbed in one of his toy bins...

Matthew is getting so big! He just keeps getting cuter! I absolutely LOVE the picture of him reading the sales paper. He looks so intent. I would love to know what he was thinking too!

Great pics! Looks like Matthew will be helping you get all kinds of good deals, reading those flyers.
